The Arkle Challenge Trophy Steeple Chase is the second race of the prestigious Cheltenham Festival Racing Post, which features several other horse riding races in the United Kingdom. Named after the Irish Thoroughbred winner of the Cheltenham Gold Cup from 1964-1966, this race was brought up to replace The Cotswold Chase in 1969. In the beginning, the Arkle Trophy Steeple Chase was set up as a Day 2 event, but in the year 1980, it was moved to its current position as the second race of the first day.
This race features racehorses that are 5 years and older, making them run a distance of about 2 miles on the Old Course located at Cheltenham. The race is usually run by novice chasers, with a challenge to jump over thirteen fences as they run. Many of the winners have managed to emerge as champions in the Queen Mother Champion Steeple Chase, which is undoubtedly the most popular race on the SteepleChase calendar.
When it comes to Arkle betting tips, most of the all-time favourites are among the best bets, although the race has seen a wide array of different trainers and jockeys. The race is truly one with furious speed and lots of jumping. The best runners need to be fast and agile to be able to win the title. When placing bets, it is best to consider the top trainers and the favourite horses since there is always a lucky 33% chance of them winning again. There has been some fluctuation of odds for some horses which do not do amazingly well leading up to the race. Some of these unlikely runners have still recorded great wins in the past. Progress is the only constant thing to note when placing bets. This is because once the racers get progressively better in the seasons leading up to the game, the chances of good placement are high.
Below is a table with tips outlining the favourites, the name of the horse, the best bookmakers and the odds, making for some great racing post Cheltenham tips.

In March 2023, on Tuesday the 10th, the race is set to take off at 14:00, making it the second race of the day. Leading up to the race, several build-up trials are already underway, giving punters a good chance to properly study their wagers and place winning bets. Many bookmakers have already placed odds for their best runners, as it is the custom of the Arkle betting. This is because the frequent winners have the highest chances of taking the Arkle trophy each year. The most prominent trainers, as mentioned before, have been Nicky Henderson and Willie Mullins, making their runners more profitable wagers than the rest. These trainers have managed to bag at least 2 wins in the last 10 years, a feat that has not yet been achieved by other trainers.

Based on the trial games, Defi Du Seuil seems to have emerged as one of the top 3 favourites for Arkle Chase 2023. It has managed 14/1 odds from both Paddypower and Betfair, making it an equally strong wager. Defi Du Seuil is one of the youngest competitors. He will be 5 in April next year. His age however seems to have no influence in his career. Trained by PJ Hobbs, Defi Du Seuil has put up a rather impressive juvenile campaign wowing all who get the opportunity to see him compete. The stead is a Bay Gelding with strong muscles and a youthful speed, making him a fierce competitor. He has run 7 races in his lifetime and won all 7 of them, much to the pride of his handler, PJ Hobbs. Defi Du Seuil is definitely one of the best juvenile horses competing in modern times.

The Cheltenham Arkle Chase race has seen many victories in the last 10 years. Many of these victories were easy wins for the favourite horses, however, there were some unlikely wins that shocked and dazzled punters and spectators alike. This is to say that although the game gets pretty predictable for the most experienced punters, some lucky oddities have occurred, making the game as interesting as it is competitive. The last 10 years have seen multiple wins from both N. Henderson and W Mullins, placing them among the most powerful trainers to have competed. According to the racing post cheltenham results, jockeys such as R. Walsh and B Gerhaghty have also recorded multiple wins, with the same trainers, but different horses. This is to say that it is possible most of the magic lies with the trainers, however, a good team of teachable, fast and agile horse, determined trainer and experienced jockey is sure to have the highest chances of winning.
